Practice Nursing is a specialised area of nursing in the Primary Health Care setting. Our team of nurses has considerable experience between them in all fields of nursing.
Our team consists of Rose, Sally, Selina, with Froyle and Bev our relief nurses.
We welcome Selina Ryan-Lentini to our nursing team. Selina has spent time in a GP surgery in the Mahurangi and has considerable general practice nursing experience. Selina replaces Beth, who has moved to Taihape with her family.
They are available for advice, telephone calls and appointments. Our focus is on health promotion, prevention and early detection of illness and in providing support and information.
The nurses have undertaken courses and gained certification in areas specific to general practice and are all involved in ongoing professional development.
In particular our nurses are available for discussions about asthma, diabetes, hypertension, cholesterol and weight management. Sally is a trained Smoking Cessation nurse. All our nurses can provide expert immunisation advice. |
