Pharmacy

We have an onsite Pharmacy - Barry's Medical Centre Pharmacy Limited proprietor Barry Lumsden

Barry graduated from the Pharmacy College of NZ in 1958 and since then has owned three pharmacies, firstly in Wellington and then in Auckland. Before moving to the North Shore he was president of the Wellington Division of the Pharmacy Guild. He and his wife have three married daughters and four granddaughters. His recreational activities include gardening, music making and Scottish Country Dancing.

Philippa (Barry's eldest daughter) gained her Diploma in Teaching Certificate in 1981 but decided to change her vocation and was one of the first to gain the new and extended formatted Pharmacy Technician Certificate. Philippa is in charge of the administration side of the pharmacy enabling the pharmacists, Murray Kerr, Elaine Ong, and Ruth Rayner to give full and undivided attention to the pharmaceutical services that we have to offer.
