History
Browns Bay Medical Centre was first established in 1978. In those early years, patients and staff were able to enjoy a beachfront location at 81 Clyde Rd.
By 1991, the practice had established itself as the largest group practice in the area and had outgrown the original 6 room building and the decision was made to relocate to a purpose-built premise in Anzac Rd in 1991. That investment served us well for 29 years until the property was sold for redevelopment.
This gave us an exciting opportunity to relook at our vision for the Practice as a leader in Primary Care. Over a 3-year period, we did an enormous amount of research into the latest and best in Medical Centre design. This culminated in our relocation to Bays Health in September 2018-a dedicated Health hub in the large and stately building previously owned by the RSA at 13-15 Bute Rd. We are extremely proud of the new facility which we believe is in keeping with our Mission and gives us even more opportunity to expand the services we can off to our community.
One of the wonderful things about Browns Bay medical centre is the length of service of so many of our staff. We are proud to have looked after many of our patients, and multiple generations of their families, for more than 3 decades. Our focus, as always, remains on providing the highest quality of PERSONALIZED care to our patients.
