Michael is married with 3 adult children and lives in Rothesay Bay.

He graduated from Auckland Medical School in 1978 completing a Diploma of Obstetrics in 1982.

He has been in General Practice at the Browns Bay Medical Centre since 1982.

His interests span the full range of illness   found in General Practice but he ceased delivering babies in 1997.

Born 1956 in Hawkes Bay, Richard studied medicine at Otago, and Christchurch Medical Schools, before spending 2 years working in London. Whilst in the UK, he gained a Diploma in Child Health, then returned to Christchurch to study General Practice for one year. He studied for and sat Diploma of Obstetrics in Auckland in 1984, a diploma which includes gynaecology.

He has passed the Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners exams, and is active in the College re-accreditation system.
Richard started in General Practice at Browns Bay in 1985. While his special interest is in skin disease and the surgical removal of skin cancers, he has a wide variety and spread of patients.

Peripheral to General Practice, Richard has been chairman of Shorecare, a Director of Comprehensive Health, and Continuing Education coordinator for North Harbour GPs. He has also worked for the GP Dept at the Medical School.

He is married with 3 children and when he gets the chance enjoys gardening, tramping, skiing and native forest restoration.

Veronica studied at Otago University, graduating with a BSc in biochemistry and microbiology before completing a medical degree in 1981.

After finishing general practice training, she locumed in the Auckland area for many years, before joining Browns Bay Medical Centre in 2003.

Veronica enjoys the broad spectrum of interest general practice offers, and particularly women’s and children’s health.

Trudy is married with 3 adult children and lives on the North Shore.

She graduated from the Auckland Medical School in 1986 and completed a Diploma of Obstetrics in 1987.

She has been part of the team at Browns Bay Medical Centre since 1990 and is a Fellow of the Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners.

Her special interests include women’s and children’s health. She is also actively involved in health care for older people in the community.

Eugeen graduated from Otago Medical School in 1999 and is a Fellow of the Royal NZ College of General Practitioners.

He has been in General Practice since 2003  and has been with Browns Bay Medical Centre since 2006.

Eugeen is married with two children. He lives locally in Browns Bay.

He is  interested in the variety of medical conditions seen in General Practice particularly in child health issues.

Dr Susan Hawken, who has been with us since 2009 is now working 6 sessions per week.

Susan graduated from the Auckland Medical School in 1989 and then completed a Diploma of Obstetrics and Gynaecology. She trained and worked as a general practitioner in Tauranga and Auckland, and has been a Fellow of the RNZCGP since 1998. Her past work includes 23 years as a Senior Lecturer in the Medical Programme at the University of Auckland.

She has expertise and a special interest in children’s and women’s health including offering IUCD insertions and menopause consultations. She is involved in educating medical students and trainee general practitioners in her role as a medical educator with the Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners Education Programme.

Susan is married with 2 children, lives on the North Shore and loves jazz dance.
