Dr Steven Miller

ENDOCRINOLOGIST

Steven studied Medicine at the University of Glasgow and completed an intercalated BSc(Hons) in Genetics before being awarded MBChB with Commendation in 1999.

He began specialising in Endocrinology and Diabetes in 2002 and was awarded a PhD for diabetes research in 2007. After completing a Fellowship at the Garvan Institute and St. Vincent's Hospital, Sydney, he moved to New Zealand in 2010 and has worked at North Shore Hospital and in private practice since. When not practising medicine he can be found training for, and competing in long distance triathlon.

Steven has expertise in all areas of Endocrinology, including Type-1 and Type-2 Diabetes Mellitus, Hypertension, disorders of the Thyroid (including thyroid nodules, ultrasound and FNA biopsy), Parathyroid, Pituitary and Adrenal glands, Hypogonadism and Erectile Dysfunction, Menstrual Irregularity, Osteoporosis (including Aclasta infusions) and Bone Metabolism Disorders, and other Endocrine Syndromes. Steven is an Affiliated Provider with Southern Cross.
