Marion was raised on the Taieri, Otago. She did her nursing training in Invercargill graduating in 1989. Upon graduating she moved to Sydney, returning to Dunedin in 2000 then moving up to Auckland in 2016. Marion is married and is a mum to three boys. In her spare time she enjoys knitting, gardening and cooking.
