David resides on the North Shore with his wife and two daughters. He completed his medical degree at the University of Auckland (MBChB) in 2012 and attained Fellowship with the Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners (FRNZCGP) in 2019.

David enjoys the broad and varied scope of general practice medicine. He has a particular passion for skin cancer medicine, and has completed significant additional postgraduate training in this field. In addition to his general practice, David is involved part-time as a qualified skin cancer doctor at a dedicated skin clinic. He is an accredited skin cancer doctor with the Skin Cancer College of Australasia (SCCA).

David can speak both English and Korean.
