David resides on the North Shore with his wife and two daughters. He completed his medical degree at the University of Auckland (MBChB) in 2012 and attained Fellowship with the Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners (FRNZCGP) in 2019.

David enjoys the broad and varied scope of general practice medicine. He has a particular passion for skin cancer medicine, and is an Accredited Skin Cancer Doctor with the Skin Cancer College Australasia (SCCA). This means that he has successfully completed a high level of training with the College (Advanced Clinical Certificate of Dermoscopy with distinction, and the Advanced Clinical Certificate of Skin Cancer Medicine and Surgery) and has proven skills in the diagnosis, treatment and management of skin cancer.

In addition to his general practice, David is involved part-time as a qualified skin cancer doctor at a dedicated skin clinic.

David can speak both English and Korean.
